Recently, Bethlehem lost one of our deacons. Not only a deacon but a faithful member. I had known Julian before I came to Bethlehem, but I got to know him better over the last year. This picture shows him the way most of us remember, smiling and joking. Not only was he happy, but he was always willing to help out. He was always saying "let us know if there is anything we can do for you". And he meant it. Recently, I've heard many times of how Julian would help someone or do something for the church, or cook for someone, even as he was struggling with his own health. How he was always ready to forgive and move on never to be mentioned again. The best thing is he never wanted recognition for what he had done. He wanted to live out what he read in the Bible. I for one can tell you I will miss his leadership and his example. Farewell Brother, until we meet again.
